Maya Arden is a Chicago-based freelance makeup artist creating polished, camera-aware looks without losing the person underneath. Every application is considered against skin texture, wardrobe, lighting, environment and the way the finished work needs to read in person and on camera.
The process is calm, prepared and collaborative, whether the call is a wedding morning, editorial set, campaign shoot or private event.
THE APPROACH
Designed for the light it will actually meet.
Texture, finish and color are adjusted for daylight, direct flash, studio lighting and long wear. The result should feel refined from conversational distance and still hold together in the final image.
